Today you are the police. Follow eight leads, solve eight police puzzles and work out which of the five crooks has the balloons. Then: the line-up, the handcuffs and a real police diploma.

With map: the chief pins eight leads on places nearby. Walk there; a police puzzle is waiting. Without map or indoors: you get the puzzles one after another, without places. Works anywhere.
The puzzles are for children of about six and up: taking a fingerprint, making a composite sketch, recognising a footprint, copying the siren, spotting differences through the binoculars, a colour code on the radio, a chase and finding the crook in a crowd. No reading needed: the phone reads everything aloud (Read aloud button).
After every puzzle you get a balloon back and a lead. Evidence is always true and shows a feature: hat, shirt or shoes. Witnesses help too, but they sometimes get it wrong: only the evidence really counts.
After eight leads you go to the line-up: five crooks in a row in 3D. Tap the culprit. Handcuffs on, a confession, and the group gets a police diploma and a WANTED poster with their own photos, as PDFs to print.
Tip for the grown-up: read the evidence aloud to the whole group, that is the best moment. For six-year-olds Indoors or Outside without map works best; the map mode is for children who can read a little. With an adult along. One phone per group; with the case code more phones play the same case. The photos stay on the phone. Outside: stay on the pavement.
