Pixel hero Bit fell out of the phone. Glitch broke his Start-button crystal and scattered the pieces across the neighbourhood. Every place is a level: jumping, sneaking, hacking, an AR hunt, a secret code. Collect XP, coins and power-ups, and beat the final boss on the square.
Short, Normal or Long: 5, 8 or 11 levels. The length is in the game code, so other phones get the same game.
With a map: Bit places levels at spots in the neighbourhood. You see a pixel-style level map: the team walks along the road to the next level, an arrow and cold/warm/hot show the way. The grown-up can look at the real street map. Now and then Glitch shoots across the screen: tap him for coins. Indoors: walk on the spot, phone in hand. Without a map: the levels one after another, works anywhere.
Every level is a different game: bug hunt, platformer (real jumping allowed), shop puzzle, memory bridge, stealth level with microphone, AR hunt with the camera, secret code, fix the pixels, hacking, memory, rhythm. Three hearts per level; none left = back to the save point, never a real game over.
Video-game systems: XP and team level, coins (for hints from Save Sam), a power-up for the next level after each clear, achievements on the diploma, your own pixel avatar.
Data fragments: three levels reveal what Glitch really looks like (colour, eyes, antenna). The last level gives the Level 0 password. Along the way Glitch sometimes hijacks the screen with a dare for the team.
Final boss in three phases: dodge pixel bombs by tilting, a team attack by clapping together, and the Server Room: a 3D escape room where you switch on the power, plug in the cable and type the password. Then pick the real Glitch out of four mirror images and decide: Delete or Patch. Album with your own photos, Level Complete diploma as PDF.
Hard: tighter timers, longer sequences, less key in the secret code.
Team vs team: two phones, the same game code, and a team colour and result code for the standings via Party options.
Tip for the grown-up: the microphone and camera are only used on the phone itself, nothing goes to the internet. One phone per team. Outdoors: stay on the pavement, no running between levels.
